How You Can Help

Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa relies upon the generosity of individuals, corporations, civic groups and foundations to help us meet the public health needs of our community.

You can make a significant difference through a cash donation, an in-kind gift of needed program materials and services or through a deferred gift. Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. A gift to VNS of Iowa is tax deductible to the fullest amount allowable by law.

How to Give

Gifts and Donations
Gifts of cash, appreciated stock or property to Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa help us provide services to children, families and adults in all of our programs. Your gift will help us provide medical services to chronically ill, uninsured adults; cribs for high risk infants in need of a safe sleeping environment; and assistance to families in need of Medicaid and hawk-i insurance.

Memorial Gift
You can honor the memory of a loved one or recognize a special milestone of a family member or friend with a gift to VNS of Iowa. Our staff will send a special acknowledgement to those you have named on your gift.

Deferred and Estate Gifts
Leave behind a legacy of hope. You can choose to name Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa in your will. You can also name Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa as a total, partial, or contingent beneficiary of your life insurance policy.

To Volunteer
VNS of Iowa needs vital partners to help us with our work. We are looking for caring individuals to assist us in providing for the health needs of our community. Volunteer opportunities may include general office work, helping with community flu clinics, visiting homebound individuals and hosting a "baby shower" for the Stork's Nest.
