Thank you for your interest in ensuring the health and well-being of children, families and adults in Central Iowa. Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa relies upon the generosity of individuals, corporations, civic groups and foundations to help us meet the public health needs of our community.
You can make a significant difference through a cash donation, a long-term pledge or an in-kind gift. Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. A gift to VNS of Iowa is tax deductible to the fullest amount allowable by law.
Birdies for Charity: Pledge to Support VNS of Iowa
Last year, thanks to your support, VNS of Iowa came in 10th place for pledges out of 78 charities! We collected over $4,500 thanks to matching donations from Principal Financial Group and Sammons Financial Group, which sponsor the Birdies for Charity event.
Making a pledge is easy. Go online to the Birdies for Charity website and click on Make a Pledge. Select Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa as your charity of choice.
You can make a pledge-per-birdie of at least 2¢. Last year there were over 870 birdies in the tournament, making a 2¢ pledge X 870 equal a $17 donation. This year we are challenging you to make a 5¢ pledge-per-birdie, which will amount to a $40 donation if 800 birdies are scored.
Help us reach our goal of at least $1,500 collected—$1.50 in penny pledges—which will make VNS of Iowa eligible to a matching donation from Sammons Financial Group. Help us place in the top 25 charities and VNS of Iowa will receive up to $2,500 in Bonus Bucks.
All Birdies for Charities funds will support programs at VNS of Iowa that promote the health and well-being of children.

Gifts of cash, appreciated stock, property or in-kind donations help us provide services to children, families and adults who receive healthcare, education and support from our programs.
Memorial Gift
You can honor the memory of a loved one or recognize a special milestone of a family member or friend with a gift to VNS of Iowa. Our staff will send a special acknowledgement to those you have named on your gift.
Deferred and Estate Gifts
Leave behind a legacy of hope. You can choose to name Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa in your will. You can also name Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa as a total, partial, or contingent beneficiary of your life insurance policy.
